facial redness from sun damage
Which treatment do I need?
As we know, vascular concerns are different and have different etiology and causes. Therefore a detailed consultation is needed to first diagnose the cause of vascular issue, for example, if its broken cappilary or rosacea.
Depending on the pigmentation, treatment may vary, we will be able to go through the treatment plan with you at the consultation.
What do you expect during the treatment?
In general, vascular laser can feel a bit pricky and snappy on the skin, as high energy is needed to focus on the vascular area to efficiently shrink the expanded vessels.
The treatment is quick, It takes about 20-30mins per session.
Repeat sessions may be needed depending on what the diagnosis of pigmentation is.
What do you expect after the treatment?
Depending on the treatment intensity, the recovery can be slightly different, overall the downtime is minimal. Treatment for general redness may have very minimal downtime, and some people can see immediate improvement on their redness.
As always, strict sun protection is required post all laser and energy based devices.
Do I need multiple treatment?
Depending on the nature of the vascular issue, multiple treatment are needed to shrink down the treated veins or cappilaries. It can also recur in the future, especially when preventative measures are not carried out.
Take broken cappilary for example, it can be a chronic issue secondary to skin inflammation such as rosacea and sun damage, therefore repeat treatment and strict preventative measures need to be carried out to prevent recurrence.
