What is Thermage Body Treatment. 

Thermage FLX is one of the most famous and popular radio frequency based energy device, for non invasive skin tightening to achieve younger looking skin. It is most commonly used for around the face, neck and eye areas. But it is also suitable for treating the body.

What to do before the treatment?

• Inform the doctor if you have a pacemaker or metal implants/pins. 

• You will be asked to remove any metal jewellery, therefore, it may be easier if you simply do not wear any that day. 

• Ensure you stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water 

 • If you are concerned about discomfort during your treatment please feel free to take 1000mg of Panadol and or 400mg of Nurofen, 1 hour before your appointment. 

• If you are having your eyes treated please do not wear contact lenses. 

What do you expect during the treatment?

A treatment gel is applied to the treatment area, and heat sensation can be felt during the treatment.

It takes about 60-90 minutes per session, depending on how many treatment reps you select (eg. 600 reps,or 900 reps.

What do you expect after the treatment?

The skin can feel a bit warm, and red, which settles very quickly over the next hour or two. There can be some mild swelling which also settles spontaneously. It shouldn’t affect the daily activities. You can apply skincare and makeup if needed after the treatment.

As always, strict sun protection is required post all energy based devices.
