What do you expect during the treatment?

Depending on the treatment, it can feel slightly different. 

A treatment gel is applied to the treatment area, and slight heat sensation can be felt during the treatment.

It takes about 15-30mins per session, with minimal downtime, therefore it is suitable as a “lunchtime treatment”, and is convenient for people who cannot take time off work or other commitment to recover. 

What do you expect after the treatment/ what’s the recovery like?

Depending on the treatment setting, the recovery can be slightly different. If we are doing a gentle skin rejuvenation or treating superficial skin concerns, the recovery can be quicker. The skin can feel a bit warm, and red, which settles very quickly over the next hour or two. It shouldn’t affect the daily activities.

If we are treating deep skin pigmentations, we can expect some superficial thin scabbing, which will naturally come off with no scarring, there might be down time from 5-10 days. 

As always, strict sun protection is required post all laser and energy based devices. And in general, avoid skin care that has ingredients that can irritate the skin, avoid hot showers and saunas. It is commonly expected that skin can feel dry after energy based devices, therefore moisturising creams and mask can be used
